On the second day of Mobile World Congress 2015, we got to see a ton of apps on the show floor. First up, our editors checked out a new Tinder competitor called Flirtie. The app uses the same swipe interface that made Tinder such a breeze to use and lets you flirt with strangers in the area. You can also “wink” at a person, which lets them know you’re interested instead of hoping that they “Flirtie” you back. Once you’re matched up, you have seven days to flirt with each other before deciding if you want to take things further.

We also go to check the Ubuntu mobile operating system running on the BQ Aquaris E4.5. Ubuntu features a new way to consume content on the go called “scopes.” Think of it as a home for all of your relevant content for quickly glancing at.

If you video chat with friends and family, you may want to check out ooVoo. The video chat software is developing facial recognition that tracks your face and projects it through an animated 3D avatar. We also had a look at akazoo, a subscription only streaming music service which is currently spreading around the world, although it’s not in the US yet.

Not everything we saw today were apps. We got to meet Codie, an adorable robot that teaches kids how to code. You use the Codie app to program the robot’s lights, accelerometer and navigation. Codie features sonar at the front to help it navigate around obstacles.

We saw so much today that you’ll want to check out the video above to see all the latest apps and gadgets from MWC 2015. Check back tomorrow for more MWC coverage!
