According to another video released by German site WinFuture, the next version of Windows will feature a notification center similar to that found in Windows Phone 8.1.

Notifications are collected from both Windows 8 modern UI apps, and traditional ones. It will also show system notifications. The notifications window has a button to clear all notifications at once. Unlike some notification systems, this one does not look active – a Skype notification doesn’t appear to open that app so you can respond. This could change, as the upcoming operating system is still in development.

In another video you can see multi-desktop functionality. This allows you to switch between desktops, as with OS X. Now, instead of having your classic desktop cluttered with open apps, you’ll be able to spread them across desktops, grouped however you like.
