Microsoft’s Office suite for mobile is now available to all users for free. Previously it required an Office 365 subscription to get all the features, but now you can open and edit Office documents on your iPad and iPhone, and sign up for the preview of the Android tablet version.

If you do have an Office 365 subscription, you will get “advanced editing and collaboration capabilities, unlimited OneDrive storage, Dropbox integration and a number of other benefits,” according to Microsoft.

There are all new iPhone apps for Word, Excel and Powerpoint, that have the same capabilities as the iPad versions, but are optimized for smaller screens. The Android versions should be out in early 2015, but you can sign up for a preview now. The iPad apps have also been updated.

As well as all these updates, Microsoft also announced that it’ll be revealing a touch-friendly Office for Windows 10 soon, so watch this space.
