Free chat and call app LINE has been updated on iOS to version 3.10.0, unveiling a new wintry logo and other design changes.

LINE’s Sticker shop now has categories and a search tool, testament to just how many stickers there are. ‘Video Call’ and ‘Edit Name’ options have been added to the chat room menu, and the timeline now allows you to alter a post’s privacy settings even after publishing.

Like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, you can now reply to comments using “@friend’s name”, while photo albums can now hold up to 1000 images each.

LINE’s new icon, with seasonal snowflakes suggests it will be changed more often in the future, making it quite unusual in the iOS eco-system.

LINE is one of the fastest growing communication apps. It now boasts 310 million users across 231 countries, which actually makes it more popular than WhatsApp globally. LINE’s stickers have been copied by many other services, although not WhatsApp so far. You can use LINE to chat, and make audio or video calls to your friends via WiFi, 3G or 4G networks.
