Movie fans will be glad to know that you can purchase movie tickets directly from the IMDb Android and iOS app starting today. That’s as long as you’re located within the United States.

While Apple’s Siri has allowed users to purchase movie tickets using voice, IMDb is expanding the functionality of its ubiquitous app by allowing Android and iOS users to order tickets from within the app.

There’s also a new “buy” link on movie pages that will take you out to the Amazon Mobile app, if you have it installed, to purchase a copy of the movie. This isn’t very surprising as Amazon owns IMDb and has integrated its search into its Kindle Fire line of tablets.

The IMDb app now offers a great way to not only look up information about movies but to purchase and order movie tickets for them as well. No more bouncing between the IMDb app, Fandango, and Amazon to get your movie fix.

You can get the latest version of the IMDb app at the download links below.
