Are you a PC gamer waiting for FIFA 15 or PES 2015? Dota 2 (Defense of the ancients 2) modder Skip has created a mod for Dota 2 called DotA Soccer!, which mixes ‘physics based soccer’ with Dota 2 characters and powers.

The mod is currently in an alpha development stage but is quickly approaching its beta testing phase, according to the developer. The mod has the same aims as a traditional soccer game, but the players are all Dota2 Heroes with their powers in tact, so the game will play very differently. Each game is ten minutes long, and the winner is the team with the most goals. You can use your powers on the ball, as well as on other players.

DotA Soccer! isn’t the first mod to make Dota2, a multiplayer online battle arena game, into another genre. Earlier this year, we saw DOTA Dash!, which made the game into a kind of Mario Kart racing game. Another modder is creating ‘DotaMon‘, which aims to build a Pokemon game inside Dota 2.
