Mozilla may have just launched Firefox 23 for the desktop but it’s not slowing down development. The company has released a new beta for their Firefox browser on Android, which brings improved Reader functionality and NFC (Near Field Communication) sharing of links to other NFC enabled Android phones.

Firefox for Android’s Reading List feature has gotten an overhaul. Reader and Reading List allow users to strip away extraneous elements of a webpage to form an easy to read page, much like Pocket or Instapaper. There’s now an option to switch between Serif and San-serif fonts, toggle between a “light” and “dark” mode, as well as turning the URL bar orange to denote the activated feature.

There’s also support for WebRTC, which allows real-time communication within the browser for things like video calls and file sharing.
