murdered soul suspectSquare Enix first teased Murdered: Soul Suspect back in February with a short trailer. The company released a new trailer at E3, showing the protagonist being thrown out of a window and watching himself be shot to death. The game takes place in Salem, Massachusetts and the trailer shows a bit of the colonial scenery from the Salem witch trails, hinting that you’ll have to interact with other ghosts in the game.

Murdered: Soul Suspect will be a detective game where you find clues to solve your own death while battling demons. You will be able to possess various characters in the game to help you find clues and to interact with the living. Players will also be able to walk through any wall in the game. There’s tons of potential for Soul Suspect to be an amazing puzzle game.

Graphics look great as the game runs off the Unreal Engine 3. During our short demo, we were impressed by the graphics and atmosphere. The game should run around 8 to 10 hours and will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 Xbox 360, and PS3, some time in 2014.
