Call of Duty: Ghosts has become one of the worst kept secrets in the gaming world. We first got hint of the game in March of this year and a leaked poster to IGN confirmed its November 5th launch date.

Activision launched a teaser site this week, which revealed that the story will indeed involve Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley. The iconic skull mask is a dead giveaway of Riley’s character, who first made an appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009 . The poster also revealed that the developers from Infinity Ward would be behind the game.

In the teaser trailer below, you can see Lt. Riley light a flare and don his iconic skull mask. The trailer also revealed that the game will be shown off at the next generation Xbox event on May 21st. This means the game will be powered by a “next generation” Call of Duty engine and will probably arrive on the PlayStation 4 too. Those with current generation consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360) and PCs will be able to play the game as well.

Pre-orders for Call of Duty: Ghosts begin today.
