Today’s Apple event was a quick fire presentation of updates and product launches. As well as the new hardware, there was plenty of software news to take in. Here’s a quick list of the stories that we published today:

iOS 7 coming September 18th

We’ve been hearing about it for months, as all the betas were released to developers. Normal users have had to make do with what news came out of each beta release, but now we know a lot more for sure.

iWork, iMovie, iPhoto for iOS now free

Apple revealed today that iWork for iOS, along with iMovie and iPhoto, will be bundled for free with every iOS device at its press conference at Apple’s Cupertino campus. Apple’s productivity suite finally gets integrated into iOS but its up against some stiff competition from Google’s Drive and Microsoft’s Office Mobile.

iTunes Radio Launched


iTunes Radio has been released, Apple’s ad-supported streaming music service. It’s not quite a Spotify alternative, being closer to Pandora or Last.fm’s services. Read more here.

Infinity Blade 3 announced for iOS 7


Taking advantage of the power of the iPhone 5S, which Apple claim has up to 56 times faster graphics, Infinity Blade III is typically flashy. It’s the end of the trilogy, so what will be the next game to show of an Apple device’s gaming power?
