The updated Google Keyboard which debuted in Android 4.4 KitKat is now available to download from Google Play. The new keyboard features a white swiping trail, built-in emojis, and the ability to swipe multiple words without lifting a finger. The swiping features works similarly to SwiftKey‘s “Flow” feature, where you can swipe down to the space bar to indicate a space without having to lift a finger.

The updated Google Keyboard requires Android 4.0 and up and there are a few KitKat only features. For example, full color emojis are built into the Google Keyboard for Android 4.4 but aren’t available to previous versions of Android. Users without 4.4 will have access to black and white emoticons instead.
