The folks over at SamMobile have an exclusive preview of Android Lollipop running on the Samsung Galaxy S4. While the software is still experimental, it shows that Samsung is actively working to get the operating system on its devices quickly.
Fans of Samsung’s TouchWiz interface will be happy to see that a lot of the company’s customizations remain. Many Samsung specific apps like the dialer have been redesigned with Android Lollipop’s new design language.
I’ve always found Samsung’s customizations a bit confusing, especially the numerous options in the settings app. Things haven’t changed in this early build but we can see that performance is fluid.
There’s no word when Samsung will release the update. The build you see in the video is still very early so Wi-Fi isn’t working yet.
