Windows Blue: preview what’s next for Windows 8

The next version of Windows 8, dubbed Windows Blue has leaked online in the form of a 2GB ISO file. This update will be applied to both Windows RT and 8, and while there are changes, it’s no revolution.

The biggest change comes to the interface. The live tiles can be resized, and you can now change the proportions of snapped apps in Modern User Interface. This was already possible on the classic desktop. If you have multiple monitors, you’ll be able to run one Windows 8 style app across them. There are more powerful color personalization options too.

The settings have also been extended, giving you less reason to need to visit the classic desktop.

Microsoft haven’t caved to user requests and added a Start button though. Instead they are making the Modern UI more functional. Check out our extensive Windows Blue gallery below.
