What if app icons were sincere? A humor site, The Doghouse Diaries, has tried to answer that with a series of new icons for popular apps that are a little more honest than the ones we have now.

So, WhatsApp‘s icons says ‘Your friends don’t care that you’re at work’, while Facebook Messenger goes with ‘I’m my own app now, what are you gonna do about it?”. The latter is a clear reference to the separation of messages from the Facebook app, which isn’t popular with everyone.

Snapchat is reduced to ‘Your friend is doing something mildly amusing, isn’t that great!?’ and Twitter ‘You might know someone who followed someone else who you might know possibly.’ Check out the rest in the image from The Doghouse Diaries below.
