Google Drive could be getting ‘speech to text’, if images posted by YouTube vlogger and celebrity Marques Brownlee are true.
On Google+, Brownlee posted some images of Google Drive with a new microphone button in the interface. From the images, we can see how the feature will work, with special commands for periods, new paragraphs and lines. The microphone icon is exactly the same as we see for Google Voice Search.
So far there is no official confirmation of text to voice for Google Drive, and Marquess Brownlee has so far not revealed his source for the images.
It’s pretty likely that voice to text would come to Google Drive soon, as Google has been busy building voice functions into many of its services in recent months.
