WhatsApp has been updated for Android with a new video editing feature. The update has yet to be rolled out to the Google Play store, but the APK has already been released on WhatsApp’s site.
You can now cut the video you take in WhatsApp, which is very basic, but it’s an improvement. The tool allows you to trim the start and end of any video you take. You can edit video you take at from the app, or video you have saved on your device. It also means you can send just the parts you want, which saves on data usage.
This latest update, version 2.11.49, also fixes some location bugs. Video editing is not yet available on iOS or other versions, but we’d expect it to arrive in the next update. Click here to download WhatsApp for Android.
