GTA V developer Rockstar has published a job advertisement for a graphics programmer to help bring the studio’s games to PC.

Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform.  Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.

GTA V has only been confirmed for Xbox and PlayStation 3 so far, and while we expect a PC version eventually, Rockstar has been unusually quiet and avoided direct questions on the subject. PC versions of Grand Theft Auto typically come out 8 or 9 months after console versions, so we might expect GTA V on PC in late spring 2014.

Looking further into the job listing, it also mentions that a focus will be on working with programmers on ‘next generation’ games. This suggests Rockstar are not planning to drop support for PC gaming in the future.

Stay tuned for the first gameplay video of GTA V later today.
