Yet again EA and Konami are going head to head again this year with soccer game FIFA 15 and PES 2015. We set our resident soccer game experts the task of deciding which game deserves your time this year. FIFA has been dominant for some years, but PES has been catching up. Could this be Konami’s year?

There’s always a passionate debate about the games between gamers here, so we’ve published an extended Softonic Special detailing how the games stand up to each other. Daniel takes the side of PES, while Alessandro supports FIFA. In this first part, they analyze the gameplay and graphics, and soon we’ll follow it up with more comparison when both full games have been released.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 will be released on November 13, 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 3 and Xbox 360. FIFA 15 is out now in the US for PC, PlayStation 4/3 and Xbox One/360 and a playable demo version for PC and consoles is already available. A PES 2015 demo for PC will be released after the full game’s release.
