Pebble first announced that it would be releasing an app store for its smartwatches during CES 2014 and just a month later, the company has brought the appstore to iOS. The Pebble appstore features over 1000 apps and watchfaces at launch. Before the launch of the Pebble appstore, users relied on third-party sites like MyPebbleFaces.com to customize their watches.

The Pebble appstore is broken up into sections for apps and watchfaces; app categories include Daily, Tools & Utilities, Notifications, Remotes, Fitness, and Games. Pebble also promises to help curate apps in their store so the most interesting and useful ones will be highlighted.

iOS users can download the Pebble appstore in the iTunes App Store (how meta) but Android users will have to wait a bit longer. Pebble has launched a beta version of their appstore for Android where developers can help test and finalize the Pebble Android app.
