Apple has announced its World Wide Developers Conference for June 10 -14 in San Francisco. The press release confirms that new versions of iOS and OS X will be shown to developers at the conference.

Apple’s Philip Schiller said, “our developers have had the most prolific and profitable year ever, and we’re excited to show them the latest advances in software technologies and developer tools to help them create innovative new apps. We can’t wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X into their hands at WWDC.”

Analysts are expecting iOS 7 to include a mobile payments system, and the launch of a streaming music service to rival Spotify. Little is known about future versions of OS X, although the latest beta given to developers included support for a faster wifi systems. Our Lead Mac expert Nick Mead believes Apple Maps and Siri will be integrated into the next OS X.

Now designer Jonathan Ive is responsible for human interface design, we are expecting new operating systems from Apple to have a much more minimalist look to them.

There are lots of rumors about big new products being announced in the Fall, and there may be some hints about what they could be in the new operating systems. An ‘iWatch’ will have to talk to the next version of iOS, just as iTV will fit in with other Apple systems. An Apple mobile payment system could also be linked to an iWatch-type product.
