Windows XP have a few critical updates to look forward to for this month’s “Patch Tuesday.” Microsoft will stop supporting Windows XP on April 8th, 2014 so these patches may be some of the last before the legacy operating system is abandoned.

This month’s Patch Tuesday, on September 10th, will yield a total of 14 security bulletins for Windows XP, four of which are marked as “critical.” The other 10 are flagged as “important” so it’s best to update as soon as possible when the patch rolls out.

The updates aren’t just for the twelve year old operating system either. Many products like Outlook, SharePoint, and Internet Explorer are all mentioned as being updated in the security bulletin.

The patches will be rolled out via the Windows Update tool as usual so users will be prompted to update when the patch is live.
