SoundCloud has joined forces with Instagram, letting you upload pictures directly from your Instagram account to the music streaming and discovery platform.  The new integration lets you instantly select photos from your Instagram feed and assign them as ‘album art’ to tracks, playlists or groups in your SoundCloud account.

SoundCloud is an online platform that lets users upload their own music. It’s also a huge source for users to discover original or independent audio content. According to CEO Alex Ljung, the site now reaches over 250 million users a month, as well as having mobile mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

SoundCloud has been noted as a good way for new artists to get their music online, and this new integration adds a nice visual element to the online music platform.

A partnership between SoundCloud and Instagram seems like a natural progression; SoundCloud already lets you connect your account with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pintrest and Google +, while Instagram  has similar integration, letting your share photos on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Tumblr.
