Google is now rolling out Google Now notifications in its Chrome browser. Users of the beta version of Chrome have had this feature for a while now but now it’s finally available to everyone.

Google Now notifications will live inside the Chrome notification center, which resides in the system tray on a PC and in the menu bar for Macs. Things like commute times and weather will be persistent cards in the notification center. Package tracking, flight info, and sports scores are also included.

Interestingly, location data for Google Now notifications in Chrome are based on your phone’s location. Perhaps Google favors the precise location data from your phone instead of using router locations for data.

Google Now for Chrome will be rolling out “over the next several weeks” so you may not see the feature yet. When you do receive the update, all you have to do is sign into Chrome to see Google Now in the notification center.
