Google Now has long been rumored to be coming to the Chrome browser and now we can see it in action. Google’s latest alpha build of Chrome Canary reveals what Google Now would look like and how it would work inside a browser. Google Now will be integrated into Chrome’s notification center, which currently resides in the Windows system tray and the Mac’s menu bar. Contextually aware cards like weather, travel times, flight info, and more are displayed inside the notification center.

Chrome Canary is still missing a ton of Google Now cards that are currently available on Android and iOS but that will change as Google develops the feature.

If you want to check out Google Now for Chrome, download the Canary build of Chrome and head over to chrome://flags/#enable-google-now inside the browser and enable the feature. Relaunch the browser and the feature will be activated.

Chrome Canary is a highly experimental build so expect bugs, though the browser will be updated nightly.
