Google is following in the steps of Twitter and Facebook by allowing users to embed Google+ posts anywhere on the web. The company revealed this new ability and author attributing within Google Search during the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.

Google’s embedded posts work just like that of Twitter and Facebook but requires a bit more code than its rivals, making it potentially more confusing. Embedded posts will show in a widget with a “Follow” button, a “+” button with count, as well as a section for comments, which can be expanded. Oh and gifs animate!

In order to make Google+ your identity across the web, Google has added the ability to log into different blogging platforms like WordPress  and Typepad using Google+. Doing so will show your Google+ profile next to your articles in Google Search results. This helps separate your articles from other links on the page since your Google+ profile will show up.
