Yesterday I reported that Flappy Bird will return in August and may feature “one guy jumping form building to buildings [sic].” Today, Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen revealed that this will actually be a completely new game.
Nguyen tweeted out a teaser picture of an 8-bit man jumping on a building, which looks very similar to the game Canabalt. The game features the same retro-styling of Flappy Bird.

“I am making a new game. So people can forget about Flappy Bird for a while,” tweeted Nguyen.
Perhaps the new jumping game will tide fans over until the re-release of Flappy Bird.
