Facebook has updated its Facebook Login feature to request sharing permissions before an app can post to your wall. Previously, some apps implemented a mandatory sharing feature in order to log into the app using Facebook. That’s changing today as Facebook is giving users more control over what gets posted by third-party apps.

Facebook Login is a convenient feature that lets users log into many different apps without signing up for an account but many apps request too many permissions to post on your wall. The updated Facebook Login increases transparency for what’s being shared and gives users more control. This should cut back on the Facebook spam on your Timeline where friends constantly post from Spotify or their mobile games.
