We already knew Facebook was planning to make videos auto-play in its mobile apps and now it does for iOS users. The latest update to Facebook for iOS brings auto-playing videos and bug fixes. While videos will auto-play while you’re scrolling through your news feed, audio is disabled by default until you tap on the video.

For Facebook users who have bandwidth caps, the company has included the option to only auto-play videos while on Wi-Fi, though  there’s no way to disable auto-playing videos entirely.

Auto-playing videos on iOS are a sign of what’s to come, namely video advertising on Facebook’s website. The rumored video ads were rumored to debut sometime this summer but they still haven’t arrived.
