Instagram has added a couple of new features on iOS (rolling out to Android soon). The main additions are a caption edit function, and a discover new people tab.

Until now, if you made an error in your Instagram photo caption, you had to delete the whole thing and start again – not always great if you did lots of editing to your photo before posting it. Now, if there’s a typo in your caption, you can edit it out. The same is still not true for comments though – you can post or delete, nothing in between.

The Discover tab also gets a new People option. This is supposed to show you interesting Instagram accounts to follow. First impressions are that this is mainly ‘people you may know’ from your contacts, and some accounts that may be promoted (I can’t guess why else ‘Manchester United’ or ‘Top Shop’ might be suggested to me).

As well as these additions, search has been improved, and the overall design and icons have been slightly refreshed.
