Google‘s popular browser alternative to Safari, Chrome, has been updated with support for new iOS 8 features.

The main change is support for iOS 8’s new ‘3rd party app extensions‘. This means that when you tap the Share button in Chrome, you’ll get a new screen allowing you to share the page with apps that also support 3rd party app extensions, as well as the usual iOS share options – AirDrop, Copy, Print, and Message.

As usual, there are unnamed stability improvements and bug fixes. The browser still struggles when it comes to reloading pages, which can be quite slow. Chrome also has a habit of loading an old version of a page when you open it anew, meaning you have to load it twice to get the new version.

Chrome is a universal app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It requires iOS 6.0 or later.
