A minor update to OS X Mavericks is out today. Version 10.9.5 brings a few security updates and bug fixes for a small subset of users having problems with connecting to virtual private networks (VPN) and Bluetooth issues.

The update also brings a new version of Safari, bringing security fixes to the browser. The updated browser changes the default search engine to the more secure DuckDuckGo service. The search engine uses Yahoo and encrypts all connections and does not track its users, unlike Google.

You can find the Safari and OS X Mavericks update by opening the Mac App Store and checking the Updates tab.

This will likely be the last update to OS X Mavericks before the launch of OS X Yosemite, which is expected soon.
